Do you want to continue wearing light sneakers in winter but have cold feet? We present to you the new version of the famous Spring Court B2 tennis shoe with a high Harris Tweed Hebrides tweed upper (lined in GOTS certified cotton twill for more comfort). To reinforce the adventurous side induced by their name, these “Globetrotter” are also equipped with a lacing with metal eyelets like hiking shoes.
The gorpcore is not ready to stop: the latest collaboration between Salomon and Comme des Garçons includes this pair of technical shoes for the high mountains. Even if the model is clearly off-road, we will probably see it more in town.
Guess which sneakers wore Macaulay Culkin in Mom, I Missed the Plane? From the adidas Forums. A little over 30 years later, the three-stripe brand pays tribute to him with a dedicated pair including references such as the burn marks that recall the scene of the fire or a doormat-style tongue.
Inspired by scuba gear, these adidas sneakers made in collaboration with British designer Craig Green are unlike any other pair and we like it. The ropes, a signature of the designer, will go just as well with the brand's clothes as with a more versatile look to play on the details.
Collab' with the New York label Awake NY by Angelo Baque (ex-Supreme), this pair of Asics is a hybrid between the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER, the MONO-SOCK and the GEL-KAYANO 21, three emblematic models of the Japanese equipment manufacturer. The design is inspired by Miami. In short, there is enough to make us travel.
Releases from previous weeks
"Foundation stone of the revival of Diesel shoes" according to the brand, the sneaker THE PROTOTYPE created by the new creative director Glenn Martens lives up to its name since it marks the beginning of a new era for Diesel but also for the sneaker business. : in addition to the shoe available from December 2021 (other colorways will be available from February 2022), this launch comes with a limited edition NFT (“NFT” has just been designated “word of the year” by the Collins dictionary, if you do not yet know what it is, we advise you to find out as soon as possible) created by the digital fashion design space The Manufacturer. If you are interested in crypto and the metaverse, you now know how to put on your shoes.
We've already told you about it on this site but we'll say it again: the coolest sneakers of the year are coming out very soon.
We weren't necessarily ready for that, but it's precisely the surprise that can also set the trend: Supreme and Vans have just resurrected the tribal print with the fall-winter 2021 vintage of their recurring collaboration. Release scheduled for November 26 at Supreme. Appointment at the tattoo artist on the 27th?
This other Vans collaboration available in the UK store END. has at least two big advantages: 1) The addition of a zipper will undoubtedly appeal to those who like hi-tops but do not necessarily have to do and undo their laces. 2) This is perhaps one of the most affordable pieces signed by the Japanese luxury streetwear label you can find.
After the TURBODRK Chuck 70 and its square toe, Rick Owens has revisited the Chuck 70 once again, which for the occasion becomes the DRKSTAR, available in Hi and Ox versions. Mixing the silhouettes of the traditional Chuck 70 and the Ramones from his label DRKSHDW (already inspired by the Chuck Taylor All Star), it features an 18 oz cotton twill upper with an elongated tongue that has become a signature of this collaboration.
In Japan, people take their shoes off more often than elsewhere. This perhaps explains the choice of the Vans slip-on (among others) by the Japanese label FDMTL, which affixed its made in Japan denim to it, to which local artisanal treatments such as sashiko embroidery are applied.
Surreal and very fun like the rest of the collection signed by the American style and social media star Kerwin Frost, this pair of Forum should also put a smile on the face of people who cross your path.
Also in the adidas family of maximalist design, we present to you this pair of Superturf Adventure in collaboration with sneaker guru Sean Wotherspoon and… Disney. Yes, there is Jiminy Cricket hidden under a zipper and a whole bunch of other very cool and colorful details.
Puma meets another animal during the brand's collaboration with Maison Kitsuné: the fox, whose head can be found embroidered on the heel of these crepe-soled Suedes.
Yes, you can finally match your Nikes to your down jacket or quilted jacket.
Unveiled on the occasion of the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus FW21 show, the Nike Air Foamposite One revisited by Comme des Garçons seems to have arrived quite at the right time as experiments around the design of sneakers (and more particularly clogs) turn to a kind of polymer sculpture/3D printing. Here, the legendary silhouette released in 1997 and worn by Penny Hardaway is adorned with a wavy 3D pattern that will recall ripples, a Japanese garden or just about anything. It's visually interesting and much more wearable than it looks.
If you've been watching the best sneaker releases from this year (you can also scroll below) and past ones, you're probably aware that Nike and Sacai's collaboration has produced many of the most coveted pairs around. Add Undercover, the label of Japanese designer Jun Takahashi, into the equation and you have perhaps one of the most accomplished versions of the now famous LD Waffle in colors that are still as graphic as ever.
New technical model made thanks to Vibram's know-how for the sole, the new Veja Dekkan is designed for hiking and other outdoor activities but it will do very well in town, especially in the color sold exclusively by the Center Commercial store.
Veja definitely wanted to bet on the outdoors at the end of the year since on the occasion of its fifth collaboration with Rick Owens, we can get our hands on three new colors of the Veja Hiking Style. The goal is not just to survey nature, this model is made of CWL, a vegan alternative to leather. Made of 100% organic cotton canvas, coated with a PU, corn starch and castor oil coating, this material is 54% biobased.
Known for its approach to shoe design between heritage and modernity, the Jacques Solovière brand could well have embodied this magic formula in its new Yaz silhouette: a hybrid high-top sneaker that borrows design elements from a platform derbies model. Indeed, there is plenty to make a new classic.
Recognizable by the stylized version of the initials of Christian Dior which constitutes the new reflective CD30 signature on the sides, the new Dior B30 sneaker completes the range of sneakers from the Avenue Montaigne house with a sportier silhouette made of knit and fabric technical. Intended to accompany Kim Jones' spring 2022 collection, it goes just as well with tailoring as more casual pieces.
The new Givenchy Monumental Mallow sneakers signed by artistic director Matthew Williams are rather aptly named: their imposing silhouette made of molded rubber resembles an avant-garde sculpture.
Made in collaboration with stylist Robert Rabensteiner as part of the Bally Hike collection, these sneakers/hiking shoes pay homage to the Swiss brand's alpine heritage. They are also made in Switzerland according to the rules of the art and hold their own with a combination of retro colors that will make you want to wear them off the beaten track.
Want off-road footwear that you can also pair with your edgy, gorpcore-esque look on the town? Do not look any further.
Surprising at first glance, this new Nike silhouette is in fact a new version of a somewhat forgotten model from the 80s: the Nike Bedouin. It is now renamed BE-DO-WIN for transmitting a message as responsible as its recycled sole: “Be conscious of climate change”, “Do take action against climate change” and “Win the battle to prevent climate change”.
Designed especially to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CP Company and the affinity between the two brands, accompanied by a co-branded camouflage jacket, this pair of adidas Italia SPZL takes up the distinctive signs of the two brands on a silhouette that has she is also 50 years old.
First pair of a long-term partnership between New Balance and Stone Island, this RC ELITE_SI running shoe is ultra technical, like many Stone Island pieces: the upper is in 3D knit, the logos of the two brands are printed in 3D and the midsole uses FuelCell technology and a carbon fiber plate to provide maximum energy return. Available in preview from October 7 to 10 for pre-order in select Stone Island stores, the pair will be available for sale on stoneisland.com from October 13.
Silhouette unveiled via a collaboration with the Casablanca brand last August, New Balance's XC-72 offers a first "non-limited" edition version with several equally interesting colorways that highlight the avant-garde design of this pair inspired by the 70s sports cars.
A little surprising at first glance, the new collaboration between Reebok and the Eames Office (the design company founded by Charles and Ray Eames in 1941) is justified by the choice of the Club C. Eames creations: offering an accessible design that meets the needs of the user” explains the brand. Fans of the work of the most important design couple of the 20th century will particularly appreciate the shoe box inspired by the Eames house of Los Angeles.
A technological feat with “ultimate energy return”, the adidas Ultraboost 21 produced in collaboration with Parley is designed in a material created from recycled plastic waste collected on islands, beaches and the coast. Something to combine technology, eco-responsibility and performance.
For his first collaboration with Vans, British designer Nigel Cabourn was inspired by military vintage but also by surf culture and the Californian art scene to revisit some emblematic Vans models. We particularly like this pair of Authentic LX adorned with a green and red camouflage pattern.
After a collection around the work of Keith Haring, it is the turn of that of Jean-Michel Basquiat to take the Converse for canvas. The capsule is centered around four pieces by Basquiat: Kings of Egypt III, Kings of Egypt II, Pez Dispenser and Untitled (World Famous). It is also possible to have certain pieces personalized via Converse By You with the emblematic crown of Basquiat and Untitled (World Famous).
The result of the fourth collaboration between Hoka One One and the New York brand Engineered Garments, this new version of the Bondi L retains the impressive cushioning and comfort of the Hoka curved-soled shoes with a reworked design both from the point of view of the materials that animal motifs used. A reference to previous collaborations that will appeal to fans of both brands.
Transposition of the naturalist and sometimes maximalist aesthetics of the Italian brand, the new Earthbeat sneaker by Etro (to “evoke the beat of the Earth, that is to say the spirit of life and the inexhaustible source of emotion and love for the planet”, explains the brand) mixes different materials, prints, fringes, neon laces, fluorescent sole, zigzag embroidery and turquoise studs. It takes everything to make a world.
A new model inspired by retro basketball shoes, the Veja V-15 is made of a material, the CWL, which is a vegan alternative to leather thanks to an organic cotton canvas covered with a PU-based coating of starch from corn and castor oil. There is also a leather version also made in Brazil in compliance with REACH standards with a rational use of water for the tanning process.
Known for its luxurious interpretations of punk and grunge styles (and for its provocative name), the Enfants Riches Déprimés brand has appropriated the famous Vans Sk8-Hi which it offers in a pre-damaged DIY version, sewn with patches, scribbled and with eyelets and a sterling silver lighter-style jewel.
Those who prefer skate culture will no doubt appreciate this other Vans collaboration with the London label Aries which offers several silhouettes in psychedelic tie dye versions.
A collaboration between DJ Steve Aoki and Zegna, this very special version of the Italian brand's Triple Stitch Sneakers is limited to 77 pairs worldwide and introduces a new way to market sneakers: you have to order your pair via WhatsApp or SMS (at number +1 201 370 5642) and the shoes will be made to order within 4 to 6 weeks. Could these be the most luxurious slip-ons on the planet?
New silhouette of Salomon's ADVANCED line, the Raid Wind ADVANCED is in fact a replica of an emblematic model from 1999 designed to face extreme conditions. Its design, which corresponds rather well to the taste of the moment, should mean that we will also see it evolve quite a bit on marked paths and other pedestrian crossings in the months to come.
A highly coveted silhouette, the LDWaffle produced as part of the collaboration between Nike and Sacai offers two new colors and a third collaborator in the person of Edison Chen and his brand CLOT (this was also the case recently with the label Fragment of Hiroshi Fujiwara). Both colorways draw inspiration from two versions of the popular CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” pair by both incorporating a transparent upper. The orange version releases on September 9 followed later by the gray version in JUICE stores (both will be available in CLOT x sacai “The Home” pop-ups in various locations around the world).
London-based designer Paria Farzaneh decided to reinvent the Pro Leather X2 into a zipped version inspired by the 90s by adding a personal touch: a signature Iranian paisley print designed using traditional woodblock printing techniques. A mix that the brand skillfully describes as an “expression of tradition and modernity”.
After the TurboDrk, Rick Owens tackled another Converse model, the Weapon, with disproportionate tongues and midsole. The result may be a little easier to wear than square-toed Chuck 70s, but they're still just as fashion-forward.
Featuring the geometric heel and the two-tone rubber outsole that was already found on the “Graphic”, the new Berluti Fly sneaker is inspired by the running shoes of the 70s in a modernized version very… Berluti. Evidenced by the layering of leathers, perforations and decorative zigzag stitching on a handcrafted upper.
The ultimate in adidas running technology, the Ultraboost cuvée 2021 has been reviewed and corrected by Y-3 with a more sophisticated design and still the same comfort.
New low and high unisex silhouette from the Spanish brand Camper, the Peu Stadium is part of a collection that aims to be completely sustainable and made from recycled materials (part of the proceeds is also donated to the organization “Mallorca Preservation” which supports farmers who commit to implementing more environmentally sustainable practices). On the design side, this model revisits the good old monochrome basketball in an interesting way with rounder shapes than usual.
A versatile running-inspired sneaker, the adidas Questar offers an interesting mismatched version as part of the collaboration between the three-stripe brand and Human Made, the brand of Japanese designer NIGO. Subtle but effective.
Already inspired by the famous Chuck Taylor silhouette for the Ramones sneakers that became a hit for his brand, Rick Owens collaborated with Converse to rework the original icon in his own way. As the brand explains, “For the first time in its century of existence, Converse, alongside one of fashion's iconoclasts, Rick Owens, is launching a new interpretation of the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette fashioned in a version square toe”. Also add an oversized tongue and that makes the “TurboDrk”, which is perhaps the coolest sneaker name ever.
The ninth pair in the GEL-1000 series originally released in 2008, the UB2-S GEL-1130 has been reworked by the studio of designer Kiko Kostadinov – longtime Asics collaborator – with borrowings from the GEL-KAYANO 14 and the GEL-TRAIL ATTACK 7. If you're not an expert in the history of Asics sneakers, just remember that they are very cool.
Already recognizable by its very cool oversized Swoosh, the Nike Dunk High signed AMBUSH offers a new neon color. For those who can't tell the difference, know that it is indeed green, in this case an “Atomic Green” color.
As part of a mini Undercover clothing collection for Nike (just in time for the Olympics) inspired by an imaginary basketball league, Jun Takahashi has also redesigned the 1985 Dunk High in a more modern neo-retro color palette. interesting. The “Undercover Basketball Association” logo will appeal to connoisseurs.
After the LDWaffle and the Vaporwaffle, the magic still works within the collaboration between Nike and Sacai with the same recipes (the double swoosh, the overlapping tongues and the double laces) applied to the Blazer Low. We do not change a winning team and besides there will probably not be for everyone.
Born in 1984 as a basketball shoe, the adidas Forum is making a comeback this summer, with more than 30 years of appropriation by the world of sport, music and urban culture. The 2021 version takes all the classic elements like the X design, the adjustable strap and the premium leather upper but also comes in new versions like the Forum Exhibit Low with new details.
If you like the famous Prada Luna Rossa “America's Cup” sneakers, you will undoubtedly appreciate this collaboration between the Italian brand and adidas inspired by the AC 75 Luna Rossa boat and equipped with Boost soles and a Primegreen recycled ripstop upper.
A collaboration within the framework of a collaboration? For this pair of Converse Chuck 70 made as part of his collection for the Moncler Genius project, Hiroshi Fujiwara skilfully plays on the logos and signatures of the different brands to make this classic silhouette a pair like no other.
Behind this rather long and relatively complex name hides a debauchery of what Nike does best in terms of technology, but also and above all the touch of Jun Takahashi, the founder of Undercover, which makes these running shoes suitable for running in the forest than going to Fashion Week.
Available exclusively at Kith for their launch (with 650 “preview” models in three colors), the new silhouette of Balenciaga sneakers, the Runner, plays on the archetypes of running shoes and combines different elements with a DIY side in the cutouts, collages and seams. New card in sight?
If the New Balance brand is known for its models made in the United Kingdom and the United States, those designed by the Tokyo design studio of the brand are also worth a look, like this premium version of the 574 which almost look like city shoes.
As part of the Valentino Garavani Rockstud X, a project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the famous studded accessories of Valentino's Rockstud line, Pierpaolo Piccioli has called on British designer Craig Green for an exclusive limited edition of sneakers like no other: a sneaker “embraced by a sculptural sole made of maxi Rockstud, where the nail is both part of aesthetics and functionality”, explains the brand. Impressive.
