First consequence of this disappearance: the Interministerial Mission for Vigilance and the Fight against Sectarian Aberrations (Miviludes) does not seem to have to be attached to any ministry. In the decrees, there is simply no longer any reference to the prevention of sectarian risk. Contacted by Marianne, an association source close to this organization expressed her "astonishment": "For the first time in 20 years, to date there is no longer a specialized body in France to fight against sectarian aberrations" , we are told. Since spring 2020, the Mission has been part of the Interministerial Committee for the Prevention of Delinquency and Radicalization (CIPDR) within the Ministry of the Interior. However, this same CIPDR no longer has, according to the latest official journal, the fight against sectarian aberrations in its remit. The decree confines itself to indicating that this Committee "prepares government policy on the prevention of delinquency and radicalization and oversees its implementation". No mention is made of the issue of prevention of sectarian risk.
