Because there are certain jewels that have a history, those that never leave our neck, our wrists, our fingers or our lobes and that remind us at a glance of the person who gave it to us or the anecdote behind it. And then there are also those which we have the impression that they were made for us, which as soon as we put them on increase our confidence and give our look a twist. We went around the editorial staff to ask the Vogue France team what were these nuggets that they cherish so much.

Here are the jewels that the editorial team of Vogue France never leaves:
“My gold chain with my three lucky charm pendants: a medallion I got for my birthday, a medallion with my initials and a pendant in rock crystal engraved by Pascale Monvoisin whom I adore. I wear them every day, sometimes alone or sometimes stacked with other necklaces.” Emilie Zonino, Market editor fashion, jewelry and watchmaking at Vogue France
“There are two necklaces that never leave me. The first is a fancy necklace studded with tassels that form the word Happy, unearthed in a small jewelry shop in my favorite town in Portugal, Ericeira. It perfectly reflects my mood good vibes and reminds me of all the people I met there. The second is a custom name necklace from a jewelry store my mom gave me when I got my job at Vogue. Carrie Bradshaw vibes!” Emeline Blanc, Jewelry Editor and Vogue Lovers of Vogue France
“This silver ring, with a stone that could be a green agate, is particularly close to my heart. It comes to me from my grandmother, who was also called Frédérique Verley, and who was like a second mother to me. My parents bought it for her in Kathmandu in 1969. This ring is truly my talisman and I wear it every day, without exception.”Frédérique Verley, Beauty Editor of Vogue France
“My White Bird medal and chain. Friends gave it to me for my 30th birthday. I never leave her.” Jade Simon, Editorial Manager and Lifestyle Editor of Vogue France
“This necklace is my lucky charm. I find it a bit magical with its crystal medallion that pivots on itself... And I love its 9 carat gold chain, not flashy, extremely thin.”Mélanie Nauche, Beauty Editor of Vogue France
“I've always had a passion for Hollywood musicals and comedies that my dad introduced me to. As soon as there was a cycle Howard Hawks, Marx Brothers, Frank Capra, Vincente Minnelli... we went to the film clubs of Paris!"Breakfast at Tiffany" by Blake Edwards had been a magic for me and I was fascinated by the image of Audrey Hepburn in front of the window of this mysterious jewelry store. I had never been to New York and Tiffany was kind of a spooky place, where the marvelous had a reality. This place really existed! I remember my father offering me this heart for my thirteenth birthday, which must have been very difficult for him to find because Tiffany stores did not exist in France at the time. I was entering the movie! I don't wear it often because I'm too afraid of losing it. But he is there, near me, always. This heart is an infinite love.”Sylvia Jorif, Editor-in-chief of Vogue France magazine
“My best friends gave me this bracelet last year for my birthday. It hasn't left me since... And for good reason, it was welded directly around my wrist. I love the idea of this timeless golden link.”Mélanie Defouilloy, Editor and Beauty Market Editor of Vogue France

“For me it's a pendant with my constellation from the jewelry brand VENYX WORLD that I received for my birthday two years ago.”Winta Ghebre, Manager Casting / Entertainment at Condé Nast France
“Almost all my jewelry is made by my stepfather in his jewelry factory in Los Angeles. All the pieces are really beautiful and sentimental, and I wear at least one every day. Particularly the one I wear daily, my Chrome Hearts ring. It was a gift, and its style is very different from my other jewelry. It's chunky and made from sterling silver, instead of my classic thin, gold pieces. I love the contrast!” Kella Feller, Vogue France translation intern
“The jewel that I (almost) never take off is a silver necklace adorned with a black onyx stone cut in the shape of an obelisk. Bought a few years ago now in an esoteric shop in Paris, I appreciate its ornamental properties as much as the virtues and benefits attributed to it. Onyx would indeed improve confidence and self-esteem. Whether you believe it or not, it can't hurt.”Thomas Guillemyn, Digital Editor of Vogue France
“Hoop earrings, always hoops, of all shapes and sizes. I always choose them in real gold so that they age well. My current fad? Twisted curls.”Manon Garrigues, culture editor at Vogue France
“Among the jewels that never leave me and that I particularly like: a pink gold ring from my grandmother, Art Deco style, dating from the late 1940s and featuring an emerald-cut aquamarine. It is very rare that it is not on my finger. Also, a Casio watch received at Christmas two years ago. I like its all-purpose side while being a bit vintage.”Marie Courtois, head of digital shopping at Vogue France
“Brought from Kathmandu to Nepal by my father, my silver bracelet adorned with a moonstone has not left me since I was eight years old. And for good reason, the clasp is so well sealed that it is impossible to remove without pliers... For its properties, moonstone is close to the sphere of femininity, sensitivity and creativity. Has that guided who I am today? Who knows!”Marie Périer, Editorial Coordinator and Editor of Vogue France
“I like to accumulate jewels, I consider them as amulets, especially the piercings that adorn my ears. My favorite ? A mini hoop studded with Maria Tash pearls, as well as a small fish and a heart in malachite Pamela Love”Héloïse Salessy, fashion editor of Vogue France
“If I had to choose only one jewel to wear until the end of my days, it would be a ring. What am I saying, a multitude of rings... in layering. I find the accumulations sublime. At the moment, I am particularly focusing on the mix of styles, and in particular silver, gold and stones. Guaranteed effect!” Alexandre Marain, fashion and culture editor at Vogue France
“It's not a high value jewel but it's a very sentimental ring because I bought it with my first salary when I arrived in Paris there is more than ten years old and since then she has never left me! This is Adeline Affre's Yurgo ring. I love it for its simplicity and its rock side and I was happy to support a young French designer.”Carole Dumoulin, Photo Director of Vogue France
“The jewel that has a very strong sentimental value for me is my necklace created by Atelier Sacquin in gold plated with 2 medallions, each engraved by my children. I've never taken it off since my children gave it to me a few years ago.”Caroline Berton, Director of the image department of Vogue France
“I don't have a favorite pair, but my favorite earrings are my Fentys. Terribly too much, too many rhinestones, very large, they are perfect to rock with my short haircut!”Celya Bendjenad, artistic director of Vogue France
“I often wear my Sicilian grandmother's ring, my "nona" as I called her. I got it for my 18th birthday, it is set with a ruby and small diamonds. I hope one day to be able to pass it on myself…”Flora Di Carlo, translation intern at Vogue France
“The only piece of jewelry that I literally never take off is this pendant that comes to me from my mother. I like the idea that he follows me all my life, and deeply hope that he brings me luck.” Marthe Mabille, fashion intern at Vogue France
