The clothing brand The New Originals (TNO), based in Amsterdam, is the first to join the initiative. The label that recently celebrated its fifth anniversary was inspired by its colorful and fun visual signature to give new life to the famous "Striper" jersey.
The creative team of The New Originals abandoned the black and white palette of the jersey to adopt a more vibrant duo of pink and orange, also by also stealing the light on Freddy, the brand's mascot, which proudly poses on the frontjersey.
“Foot Locker has always been a safe bet for us.When we were children, we always dreamed of buying a pair of shoes in the Kalverstraat store. But our mothers have never been able to take us shopping. This is why we are more than enthusiastic about this collaboration, "said a spokesperson for The New Originals.
"We are very enthusiastic about the idea of continuing our mission of support for young brands and the creativity of young people in Europe. Our partnership with Highsnobiety - which shares our passion for fashionable fashion and culture in vogue - constitutes an excellent platform to highlight these talents. What better way to bring these brands into the Foot Locker family than to allow them to redraw our emblematic striped jersey - worn by football locker staff around the world - to create limited series available for our customers. We are delighted to kick off with a brand as unique and creative as The New Originals and we are looking forward to continuing the series with other emerging European brands in the coming months, "completed Carmen Seman, vice-President of football locker marketing in Europe.
The soccer locker jersey by The New Originals is only available at 130 pieces, in football locker stores in the Netherlands and on footlocker.eu
