For many months the investigators in charge of the Jubillar case have been constantly combing through the smallest nooks and crannies that could hide, if not a body, at least evidence , near Cagnac-les-Mines. Beyond the first places of research which fell within the meaning and on which operations were quickly undertaken, as we list them to you above, this meticulous quest resulted in the establishment of a methodology, based on the experiences acquired during similar cases and on a very good knowledge of the field.

Armed with IGN maps, the gendarmes therefore listed all the places that offered possibilities of hiding. With the help of resource people, they then accessed these places, took notes, before considering, if necessary, calling in specialists to allow them access to certain cavities or wells.
As we have already written, the mining basin of Carmausin offers countless places to fall. Some have already been visited, others are in the process of being or will be very soon, such as the Grillatié well between Carmaux and Blaye-les-Mines. The former La Tronquié mining site has already been surveyed, but the nearby Trifyl waste disposal site also caught the interest of investigators.
