Wearing a faux fur coat, a good idea after 50?<

The winter coat department is putting faux fur in the spotlight this year. With long, short hair, printed or plain, it is of incomparable comfort. To start, choose a model with an ideal length, i.e. above the knee, and a simple, practical and comfortable fit. In terms of colors, sober shades are a safe bet, like black, brown, beige, cream, camel or gray. The more adventurous will dare to use color to add fantasy to their outfits. You can also opt for autumnal shades, burgundy, rust, midnight blue or green, very trendy this season.

As far as morphology is concerned, the fur coat suits everyone. Be careful, however, for women who have a large build (V-shaped morphology, that is to say broad shoulders and narrow hips), this type of coat is not recommended. Instead, opt for a bathrobe cut, which will hit the mark this winter.

Faux fur coat: which model to choose?

Choose a model in a classic shade, which will easily match all the pieces of your wardrobe. Pair it with casual pieces, like jeans, canvas or faux leather pants. On a daily basis, wear it with a turtleneck sweater or a knit dress, very fashionable this season. On the feet, chic sneakers are always a good option to stay modern, or a pair of ankle boots to take a little height. In the evening, always stay elegant. Avoid associating devastating necklines and animal prints (leopard, zebra) with faux fur: you risk looking vulgar! Instead, opt for a short-haired, non-shiny model. In terms of clothing, the chic little black dress, the trouser suit, or even a leather or imitation leather skirt worn with a silk shirt will complete your look. Elegant pumps or boots will complete your outfit.

Accessorize it

With a nice coat, you wear few accessories, but choose them carefully. We obviously avoid overbidding fur (on the collar, the bag, etc.). Prefer a leather bag, such as a messenger bag, a tote or a duffel bag. Jewels are added sparingly or remain discreet. Finally, do not belt your faux fur coat, it will only weigh down your figure!
