Vannes: the complete program of the Arvor Festival 2021 Festival<

Two free party days. This is the promise of the reconfigured 2021 Arvor Festival. The annual event will take place on August 14 and 15 in Vannes (Morbihan).

Breton culture in the spotlight on August 14

The Vannes Festival Committee will offer a rich program around Breton culture.

The festivities will begin with the presentation of the contenders for the title of the Queens of Arvor at the Auditorium des Carmes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The proclamation of the Queens of Arvor will take place the next day, August 15, 2021, in the Jardin des Remparts at 5:30 p.m.

The Jardin de Limur will host concerts (Couriault – Lotou – Le Sauze at 3 p.m., Talec Noguet at 4:10 p.m. and Tobie Bourgault at 5:50 p.m.) and a youth activity to discover the Breton peninsula from 3 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. August 14. Simon Cojean will put on a comedy show at 12:20 p.m.

The first day will end with a bang with the prestigious evening at the Palais des Arts.

"The music of the Bagad de Vannes and the show Soñj will offer the best of Breton music and dance", explains the Festival Committee, which invites us to travel.

The Bagad of Lann-Bihoué in the spotlight on August 15

Sunday August 15 will begin at Saint-Pierre Cathedral with the Mass of Notre Dame d'Arvor at 11 a.m. The Bagad de Rhuys will accompany the procession that will go to the port.

The Carmes Auditorium will make way for the Celtic Circles in the afternoon:

“Experts in Breton culture propose here to deepen a specific theme which forges the identity of our territory, explain the organizers.

And at the same time, the best circles and bagadoù in Brittany will follow one another on the stage of the Jardin des Remparts. “Costume, music, dance for a flamboyant Brittany”:

Finally, the parade at 7 p.m. will close the festivities from Place Maurice Marchais (City Hall) to an arrival at the Stade de la Rabine via rue Thiers.
