Diamond Island is an island off the shores of Phnom Penh transformed by real estate developers into the symbol of the Cambodia of the future, an ultra-modern paradise for the wealthy. Bora is 18 years old and, like many young people from the countryside, he left his native village to work on this vast construction site. It is there that he befriends other workers his age, until he finds his older brother, the charismatic Solei, who disappeared five years earlier. Solei then opens the doors to an exciting world, that of an urban and privileged youth, its daughters, its nights and its illusions.
