The Story of Spider-Man

Peter Parker is the only child of Richard and Mary Parker. These two CIA agents were killed when Peter was only 6 years old. Following this, this young orphan was raised by his uncle Ben and his aunt May in a modest house in Forest Hills, New York.

One day, while still in high school, Peter Parker attended a science fair on radiology. That's when he was bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him spider-like strength and agility, as well as a "sixth sense" that warns him of danger nearby.

In order to test his new abilities and also to earn some money, Peter took part in a wrestling challenge against Grinder Hogan. He easily won the challenge and also caught the attention of the media.

The event that prompted Peter Parker to do good

Behind the scenes, Peter saw a burglar walk past him but did nothing to stop him. Later that night, when Peter arrived home, a policeman told him that his Uncle Ben had been murdered by a burglar who had broken into their home. The cop mentioned that they tracked the killer to a warehouse.

Very angry, Peter put on his Spider-Man costume and went to the warehouse to get revenge on his uncle. After beating up the murderer, Peter discovered it was the same burglar he had encountered backstage. That's when Peter Parker aka Spider-Man decided to fight evil.

Creation

In 1962, Marvel Comics editor and head writer Stan Lee was looking for a new superhero idea. To this effect, he decided to create Spider-Man after observing a spider climbing up the wall. Lee had to convince editor Martin Goodman to introduce Spider-Man in the latest issue of the Amazing Adult Fantasy series, which has been renamed Amazing Fantasy. It should be noted that Spider-Man is currently available on Nintendo Switch.

The Spider-Man superhero look

Head writer Stan Lee enlisted the help of legendary artist Jack Kirby for an initial character design. However, he wasn't happy with the result as the character turned out to be too heroic when Spider-Man is supposed to be a teenager. Therefore, he turned to Steve Ditko. It was the latter who developed the iconic look of Spider-Man.

The different existing Spider-Man characters

Since the creation of the character, comic book authors have had fun thinking up variations. They sometimes modified the gender or even the skin color of the superhero to create new heroes facing their own trials. Here are some of those most memorable Spider-Men.

Original Spider-Man

Spider-Man: Everything there is to know about the spider-man

The original Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is Marvel's most popular character. Not only did he start the age of Marvel comics, but his popularity also allowed the production to create some of the most important supervillains in comic book history.

In fact, Spider-Man is the prototype on which all other superheroes are modeled. The story of Peter Parker is differentiated by his daily problems. In fact, while other superheroes led lives of carefree luxury, Peter was a teenager struggling to help his aunt pay the bills.

Spider-Man Symbiote

One day, an alien entity came to earth to search for a host. This is Peter Parker and that's when he accepted the Symbiote. As a result, he became Symbiote Spider-Man. As a result, his already impressive abilities were enhanced. But in return, Peter has become more aggressive towards his friends and his enemies.

Following this, Peter did some research and discovered that the Symbiote can't stand extreme noise. Therefore, in order to fix himself, Spider-Man goes to a church. At the sound of the bell, the Symbiote moved away from Peter and sought out a new host. This new host turned out to be Eddie Brock.

Miles Morales

Similar to the original version, Miles is able to stick to walls. He is also blessed with superhuman strength, speed, and durability. In addition, he has precognition. Apart from that, Miles Morales is also able to emit an electric shock.

Spider-Woman

Spider-Woman is the most different from the first Spider-Man of all the characters. Indeed, rather than sticking to the wall and swinging on webs, this superhero glides through the air and is capable of manipulating her opponents' pheromones.

Although this comic was created in 1977, it took decades for its popularity to reach a certain level.

Scarlet Spider

Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) is a clone of the original Spider-Man. As a clone, he has the same powers as Peter Parker. In fact, Scarlet Spider was created by Jackal in order to beat the real Spider-Man. However, things got out of hand and instead of fighting Perter Parker, Ben Reilly became his ally.

After Peter Parker gave up being Spider-Man, Ben took his place. However, it was only for a short time. During a confrontation, Ben sacrificed himself so that Peter Parker would live and become Spider-Man again.

Black Spider-Man

Just like Peter Parker, Spider-Man Noir can also stick to walls, has precognitions and has superhuman faculties. The only difference is that he use guns to fight his enemies. In this context, his weapon of choice is a pair of .45 caliber pistols.
