Do I have to boycott a conference whose dress-code is the costume-tie?<

I suspect that the conference will prove horribly boring and that you should dispense with it, not by doing something as childish as you boycott it, but because you may have your time doing your time.I do not understand why people attend so many endless conferences, except that their desire not to go to the office for a day is so violent that they forget how boring it was the last time that'they tried.

By participating in this conference, all you will do is swapping everyday boredom for boredom of listening to a person in a tie costume talk for a long time, followed by another speaker in the same outfit doing the same thing.
