In Vire Normandie (Calvados) the Greta du Coeur is mobilizing to help its trainees and is appealing for donations.
We know Greta for its training provided to adults throughout the year in Vire Normandie (Calvados). What is less known are the workshops set up for trainees and by trainees. This is how in 2016, the Greta of the heart was born. The idea was to offer the poorest interns the opportunity to dress appropriately and then go to job interviews.

Since then, nothing has changed. The “boutique” set up on the second floor of the structure took shape and ran at full speed. Nadine Le Bronnec, trainer and originator of the operation explains:
This is how Greta was able to build up a stock of clothes. “There is no exchange of money. Some people donate clothes and others take them. Donated clothes are not returned to Greta except for work clothes,” adds Anais Malherbe, animator at the Greta resource center.

The stock has grown over time with children's clothes, but also work clothes. Another donation from a person who was retiring.
Today, the Greta of the heart needs to renew its somewhat aging stock. “We take everything and then we do a workshop to sort the laundry. The clothes must still be in good condition. If we see that it is not possible to keep such and such a thing, we do not throw it away, but it goes to recycling,” adds Nadine Le Bronnec. The ideal would still be to be able to obtain seasonal clothing for men or women, in all sizes (even large sizes) and even shoes.

You should know that Greta has around 300 trainees a year. People who are preparing for their return to work and for whom self-image is essential. The clothes are an important part of the dynamic instilled by the structure.
