In Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the birthplace of Claude Debussy:

La maison natale de Claude Debussy, située dans le quartier historique de la ville de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, est ouverte. À elle seule, la demeure datant du XVIIe siècle mérite le détour. À l’intérieur du musée labellisé « Maison des illustres », de nombreux objets et des photographies permettent de mieux comprendre le processus de création de Claude Debussy. Le musée fermera ses portes le 31 octobre, pour travaux. Il ne rouvrira qu’en 2023.

Journées du patrimoine dans les Yvelines : nos coups de cœur

À titre exceptionnel, le fort du Trou d’Enfer ouvre ses portes à Bailly. Resté dans son jus militaire XIXe siècle, il a fait partie du domaine des chasses présidentielles de Marly. La visite est annoncée pour le samedi 18 septembre, à 9h30, à l’entrée du site, route de Marly, après le pont de l’A13.

The collegiate church of Mantes-la-Jolie:

A private castle in Richebourg:

Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., guided tour of the castle and the Motte Castral de Richebourg.This private castle belonging to the Mallet Foundation, exceptionally opens its doors.You can visit, this Louis XII style castle, built at the end of the Gothic era and at the start of the Renaissance.Visits will focus on the history of the antiquity site to the present day, and the role of the castle at the origin of the village.

30 hectares at the Rosay castle:

Samedi de 10 h à 10 h 30 et de 10 h 30 à 11 h. Visite du parc du château de Rosay. Une visite commentée est proposée dans ce parc de 30 ha du XVIIe siècle, avec ses cascades, son escalier d’eau, ses bassins, ses statues et ses nombreuses fabriques. Inscription limitée à 30 personnes. Le parc est en pente raide, avec des escaliers, donc difficile pour des personnes âgées, prévient l’organisateur.

A troglodyte church in Haute-Isle:

Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., visit to the Annunciation Toglodyte church.This church is an architectural singularity, unique in Île-de-France, it was built between 1670 and 1673. In 1926, the church was registered in the additional inventory of historic monuments.Free tour.

In Aubergenville, in the footsteps of a centenary:

1921 perhaps considered the year of birth of Elisabethville's "garden city".Thirty years later, the construction of the Renault factory and its city Zehrfuss marks a second birth.It is to discover this recent but rich architectural history, that you invite the research group on the collective memory of Aubergenville-Elisabethville (GRMCAE).Two walks (between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m.) in search of this "lost time" are offered to you.Meet on Saturday September 18 from 2:30 p.m. on Place de l'Étoile in Elisabethville-Aubergenville.Then the next day, still at 2:30 p.m., on Place Edouard-Monin in Epône, near the room at the end of the world.

As a bonus: the companions in the spotlight at the Château de Dampierre

No restoration site had been carried out for almost two centuries on the architectural work and the gardens of the Château de Dampierre. After decades of lack of maintenance, the restoration initiated since the beginning of 2020 under the project management of Christophe Bottineau, chief architect of historic monuments is certainly one of the largest sites on a historic monument Deprived of Ile-de-France! This year, the Dampierre-en-Yvelines estate therefore wanted to highlight the work of the companions and the sharing of know-how during the heritage day, all in An XVIIth atmosphere. So, lodges will present the work of the companions specialized in the fields of stone size, masonry, frame, cover, carpentry and art ironwork. These companies accustomed to major projects on the most beautiful monuments of France will exchange with the public. Other central trades, within the field, will present their specific know-how: a marshal-ferrant (with a demonstration of Horses) but also a sellier craftsman. In addition, the lecturers will provide exclusive visits from the current catering site throughout these days.
