Narbonne: the Wedding Fair is back to celebrate with the public<

The event had been canceled in 2020 due to the health crisis. This year, the "Marriage du sud" association wishes for an exceptional 15th edition.

Since 2006, they have been loyal to the Wedding Fair. Suffice to say that the dragee went badly when the event could not be celebrated last year. No question of divorce, however: 36 hand-picked exhibitors have sworn to be present at the Palais des sports et du travail on 2 and 3 October. The opportunity for many trades to return to the altar of economic dynamism. And for many couples, to finally lift the veil on the complex organization of D-Day, often postponed due to the Covid.

Exhibitors united for the better

Florists, hairdressers, caterers, photographers, DJs, renters of rooms, furniture, crockery...they will all be united for two days to offer the best of their services to the public. "We will be the first post-confinement wedding fair. The desire has been to keep what has worked for years: qualitative professionals from the Occitanie region, the staging of the Palais du travail especially for this fair...the decoration of the stage and the making of bridal bouquets by apprentices from the Rivesaltes CFA, parades (once a day at 3 p.m.) to showcase wedding dresses, men's costumes, children's collections, jewelry, hairstyles, makeup. This year, we will also have luscious young women among the models", rejoices Pascale Corté, florist and kingpin of the organizing association "Mariage du sud".

Among the new exhibitors, we will discover a food truck, vintage cars, an animator, a decorator with balloons and a secular ceremonial officiant. Nearly a thousand visitors are expected to wed with the Wedding Fair. An event to which the town hall has said yes without hesitation since 2006. Sylvie Cousin and Claude Lebessou, elected delegates for the attractiveness of businesses, are witnesses: "We celebrate 200 weddings a year in Narbonne. The city attracts by its geographical position, its sun, its popular sites for events. The Wedding Fair therefore contributes directly to the local economy and the attractiveness of the city center".
