You wanted to participate last May but missed the opportunity?

A new casting to do extras in the historical series on Catherine de Medici, The Serpent Queen, is organized in Blois (Loir-et-Cher) from Wednesday July 28 to Tuesday August 3, 2021.

The series is directed by Stacie Passon, with Samantha Morton (Walking Dead series) and Ludivine Sagnier, currently playing in season 2 of Lupin.

Filming will take place in the region from August 30 to the end of September. Several scenes will take place in Chambord.

What roles?

The extras selected, aged between 18 and 75, will have the task of “recreating scenes of life in the 16th century under the influence of Catherine de Medici”.

Thus, the action taking place between 1530 and 1570, the extras will be chosen according to several criteria.

It is requested, for women, to have long natural hair without bangs or locks, and for men, no “modern” haircuts (no shaved cut with clippers or layers, etc.). Medium-length hair, long hair, beards are welcome.

Visible tattoos or piercings are prohibited. All ethnicities are welcome!

Casting dates

The castings will take place over several days, in the Salle Malfray of the Hôtel de Ville de Blois (9, place Saint-Louis. Access via the rose garden, follow the signs).

The production warns: “It will be enough to come only once for the casting. No need to rush in the morning because it creates queues. »

Conditions

For the day of the castings, it is a question of coming dressed in a fairly neutral way, in street clothes.

You will be asked to complete an information sheet.

The production will take your picture and take your measurements.

Carte Vitale and identity document (or stay-work document, as well as the tax notice for people of foreign nationality) will be requested.

If you are selected for filming, costume fittings are to be expected in Bléré (Indre-et-Loire) in the coming days.

Artists (actors, singers, musicians, acrobats, dancers, etc.) are invited to also provide a CV, but no experience is required to apply.

This production is remunerated at the usual rate (overtime, increased): Extras: 84.50 euros for 8 hours of intermittent work; Silhouette: 126.74 euros for 8 hours on the same basis; Costume fittings: 15.53 euros.
