If you have ever taken a walk in the lower part of rue du Mené in Vannes (Morbihan), you must have noticed the department stores built on the Parisian model. But do you know the history of these four buildings? Historian and elected official François Ars shares his knowledge on the subject.

Besides the shops, the rue du Mené is also remarkable for its stones. And in particular by a building. “You can see a very pleasant oriel window there,” he remarks. But do you know what an oriel is? It is a kind of closed balcony if we refer to the dictionary.
