Liège has its own… In a few weeks, the capital will also have a consumption room at lower risk. Objective: to offer drug users a safer and cleaner space for inhaling or injecting their products than the street. Brussels is thus following the example of dozens of other European cities, convinced that such a system is very useful in a logic of risk reduction. It is the ASBL Transit, with its experience in welcoming and accommodating consumers, which will manage the premises, located in the Lemonnier district. The project is led by the City, supported by the Region and the Cocom. Concretely, the room must make it possible to attract a public of consumers that escapes the other devices and to open a door to them towards a path of care or accompaniment.
